About the Symbol mark
Our corporate logo composes of three S: Seika, Wakayama Seika and Wakayama Seika Holdings Co., Ltd., wishing three group companies a harmonized one company. Yellow is our corporate identity color, as DCB that we produced in the begging of the company, is used for an intermediate of yellow pigment.
1955~1965
- 1955
Wakayama Seika Kougyou Co., Ltd. was established by a founder, Minoru Takeda
- 1956
DCB, an intermediate for yellow pigment was successfully synthesized for the first time in Japan
Started production of Bis-Amine, a curing agent.
- 1964
Entering overseas markets
Entered international busines when exported Dianisidine, a raw material for blue pigment to China. As exportation stably grew, Wakayama Seika was certified as “Export Contribution Company” by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Later the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) in June 1964.
- 1966
Started production of Bis-Amine, a curing agent
- 1973
Sales office was curved out from Wakayama Seika and SEIKA & COMPANY, LTD. was established in 25 September 1973
- 1983
Logistic function was curved out from Seika Trading and established independent distribution company, Seishin Kogyo Co., Ltd. in April 1983
- 1987
Omuta Factory in Omuta city Fukuoka was transplanted to Kainan city Wakayama and opened Kaian Factory in March 1987
- 1990
Started operation of DPE mass production plant on July 1990
- 1995
OmniSpecialty was established in NJ, USA in August 1995
1996~2011
- 1996
Yoshihisa Takeda became a president of Wakayama Seika Kogyo on January 1996
- 1998
Certified of ISO 9002 for all manufacturing sites in Seika Group in 1998
- 2000
Certified of ISO 14001 in July 2000
- 2005
Cerebration of the 50th years anniversary of the foundation of Wakayama Seika on 27 May 2005
2012~

Discontinued production of DCB on 27 July 2012, one of our major products since founded
- 2013
Started construction of Seika Photovoltaic Power Plant in Nishihama Wakayama on 17 September 2013
Started construction of SK-L, a manufacturing plant of Seikacure-S, an epoxy resin curing agent for CFRP being used in the latest airplane.

Started construction of SK-XA, a multi-purpose manufacturing plant producing chemicals for electronic materials
- 2015
Cerebration of the 60th years anniversary of the foundation of Wakayama Seika on 27 May 2015
- 2018
Started construction of Wakayama Factory and Mirai-Sozo-Kan in Nishihama, Wakayama on October 2018
- 2019
Certified of ISO 45001: 2018 for both Kozaika and Nanyo Factory in Wakayama Seika and Kainan Factory in Seika Corporation in October 2019
- 2020
Cerebration of the 65th years anniversary of the foundation of Wakayama Seika on 27 May 2020
